Sargent. discipline enforced at military schools was a good thing. Superintendent Wells related a story of a Scotch minister and said that the audience could apply the moral. He thought that the establishment of the school here would bring other improve ments in conditions and that the oppor tunity lo secure the school should be embraced. Prof. Smith was called for and re sponded in a few words expressing his approval of the project. The following named gentlemen were elected by acclamation, to serve as governors of the school when establish ed, viz: John S. Orth, J. S. Crowell, F. G. Swedenborg, H. V. Carter, H. H. Sargent, F. L. TouVelie and Emil Britt. A motion was made and carried that a meeting for the further promotion of the enterprise be held at Medford, Monday evening July 6.
