A Complete Line of
The Medford Mail-Tribune in an editorial recently
published advocates county aid for the building of a rail
road to the coast and insists that such a road would be
of more benefit than good county roads. It seems to us
that the provision in the constitution allowing the indebt
edness of the county to be increased beyond the $5000
limit upon approval of the voters, would not apply to
the building of railroads. But if the power does extend
to building of railroads there is no good reason why Jack-
son and Josephine counties should not build a road to the
coast. The value to this region of such a road would be
immense.
