Marjorie Reynolds, Nellie Bramberg and Laura Baker rendered vocal solos which were heartily received. Edina Vena tor gave a pretty interpretation ofFriml's "Veil Dance." Ulla Dickinson, Frances Townsend. Dorothy Paddock and Opal Hewitt displayed artistic tem perament in Presser's "Approach of Spring". Their rendition was entirely lacking in mechanical technique. Robert Craven, Otis Scott, Lavelle Hewitt and Guy Prather were the young gentle men who bravely appeared on the evening's program. They each received an ovation. The last young man rendered his number with wonderful expres sion and phrasing. Music is not a necessity in life yet it is certainly allied with the big emotions. Armies are notv going to war to its strains with many musical artists in the lead humming opera airs we have paid large sums to hear bracing their company as few other things could. Sailors sing to keep heart and soul when they are months at sea. The large and enthusiastic audience present Monday evening feels assured that Mrs. Mcintosh is most efficiently doing her part in pro moting the love of good music to a large number of promising musicians in this vicinity.
