The glorious Spring weather the'past week has made such a subtle and insistent appeal that milady when she could has spent her time motoring, consequently the week has been almost de void of entertainment apart from routine club work. ANNIVERSARY On Friday evening of last week, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hayes entertained their whisl club in a most Jiospit able man ner, the occasion, too, happily celebrating their wedding anni versary. Mcintosh very charmingly entertaiend this club with a sewing party at her home Wednesday afternoon. U. ;Hibbs was a very pleasant Ihostesa- to her literary club last Wednesday afternoon. Tha members responded to roll call with an interesting tid bit of San Francisco, their sea son's study iacludinif the history of California aad Oregon. The afternoon was completed with excellent refreshments. SURPRISE FAREWELL Friends feathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Behrena on 5th street last Monday ana tendered them a most glorious surprise farewell evening before their departure for Greely, Coh, where they will make their home. During their sojourn here of less than two years Mr. and Mrs. Bchrens have made a warm cir cle of friends who deplore their departure. 'MRS. BEHRENS HONORED Mrs. Al Whitney entertained with a pleasant informal party for Mrs. Behrens last Wednes day afternoon. Cards aid visiting with thij honoree, wishing her happiness in her Colorado home, were fol lowed by a uplcndid repast. KLOUS TILLICUMS The members of this club as sembled at the J. J. Fentbn home last Thursday evening and enjoyed "500" until a late hour and then partook of' a splendid luncheon.
