Sanitation ns applied to poultry, i vounit nnd old, means keep the house ( they live nnd sleep In clean, keep the j ,,..u..ii iimr ..lit nml drink from clean. keep the Kroiind on which they eat and run clean, and keep the fowls them selves as far ns possible free from ver min. Such preventive measures, coupled with pure food rtj-'titly fed to vigorous stock, insures maximum success. We have seen parties buy liltrh priced ews from most vigorous pure bred stock and raise the worst of culls from the hatch because they raised them on the hoc pen plan, hut of course the fan cier who sold the eKK was blamed. Many people keep flocks that don't pnv because they think It doesn't pay lo take time to treat them decently, but if anything is worth doing at all It Is worth doing riht.
