Each bidder is required to state in
his bid the kind of paving he or they
proposeto build, the price thereof, and
the name be accompanied with his or
their plans and specifications for such

Separate bids will bo received for
building Baid curb lines, said street
paving, and said grading, or all may be
covered by one bid. Said bids will be
opened and examined by the City
Council of said City on the 4th day of
June, 1913, at 8:00 p m. thereof, at
Council Chambers in said City. Each
bid must be accompanied with a certi
tied check in an amount equal to
10 ier cent of the total amount of such
bid, subject to forfeiture to said city,
as fixed and liquidated damages, if
such bidder fails to enter into a con
tract for such work, should bis or their
bid be accepted by the City Council,
according to the plans and specifications
furnished by such bidder and accepted
by said City Council

month of April-defeiting aged horse. Red Leaf, one of King Brother'
handicap mares. A one-hilf interest in this horse was sold to Sam
Hildreth, a week before the cup raea was run, for $15,000. He was
taken to New York, where he wag a winner, and was called around
New York "The Pace Maker."
Tony Faust is now at the Independence Race Track
and hla headquarters will be at this place until he
goes out of our possession.
