Willits returned from Portland on yesterday’s flyer. —Chas. H. Davis and Chas. Hayden went to Medford Saturday evening. —F. M. Stewart, of Medford, returned on the flyer yesterday from Portland. —(). L. Walden, the Medford broom manufacturer, was in Ashland Monday. —Carrol Pratt is slowly recovering from a severe illness bordering on ty phoid fever. —E. D. Briggs returned Friday eve ning from California, where he has been on business. —Mrs. R. T. Melius and son Earl went to Reading Sunday. They will remain for several weeks. —T. Kinney, of Jacksonville, was on Sunday’s train enroute to San Francisco on a business trip. —Gus Newbury, County Supt. of Schools, paid a visit to the Ashland Public Schools Monday. —Wm.Ulich, of Medford, made an other business tripinto California, pass ing through Ashland Sunday. —W. H. Gilbert returned to Wolf Creek Thursday, to resume his duties as superintendent of the saw mill at that place. —Miss Cora Kist returned Tuesday.
