Bemombor the name uonn s im LOCAL CHAPTER IS Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Ma sons Grants Charter to Crater Lake Chapter. The grand chapter of Royal Arch Masons, which has just closed its sessions in Portlnnd, granted the lo cal chapter a charter. Heretofore tho local chapter has been working under a dispensation, but now it is a full-fledged chapter and it will bo known as Crater Lake Chapter No. 32, R. A.M. . It was expected that the charter would be granted, but nevertheless the news was received with a great deal of pleasure by local members. The local members of the R. A. M. attended lodge in Jacksonville. BUTTE FALLS ITEMS Jack Doubleday and wife , were welcome visitors to our (own on Tuesday. Will Chamber and family were sud denly culled to Medford on account of Ihe death of n sister of Mrs. Chamber. The fiincrnl took place in Medford on Saturday. Freden burg and Watson many thanks are due for ihe musical features of the program, while to Mrs. Clnspill due credit must be given for the instru mental pircei rendered on Ihe phono graph. All expressed themselves ns highly pleased that the year has closed without friction nnd the out look is very encouraging for another year. Tt is highly probable that two teachers will be employed next year and Bntle Falls will soon hnve a school second to none of the country districts. T.ee Edmonson of Ilerby visited bis son nnd parents on Rundny and in company with Frank, Netherlnnd, attended the local telephone meeting. fins Edmonson was visiting among his young friends on Sunday. . The young people gave Mr. and Mrs. Conley, the newly married cou ple a danee on Saturday night, which was largely attended and passed off very pleasantly. It is so cool here that we must have fires morning and nights. Wo have not heard what luck John Butler and Leon Buskins had on their fishing trip, but judge they wore quite as successful as our local fishermen.
