sity of passing tho appropriation on
which a referendum has been taken.

ation for the Pniversity of Oregon.

time iu history that higher learning has
been subject to the direct vote of the
people. "
Mr. Campbell also spoke on the lack
of self-confidence which prevails among
the students of today. " I would rather

than a boy or girl who has not back
bone enough to tackle the hard things.
