Good for TWENTY-FIVE VOTES when used as a nomination blank. FOB DISTRICT NO This Coupon, cut out and mailed to the Contest Department, or depos ited in the ballot box at the Tribune Oj flee, will count as one vote for the i.idy whose name is filled in. COUPONS SHOULD BE SENT FLAT, NOT ROLLED OR FOLDED With only a lew more weeks ri-riiiiiii-iuj; until the close of the contest, it behooves every imp who has any inten tion of winning one of the beautiful and valuable prizes ill the Tribune "s vot ing enntost to get busy. Get Busy Means This. Yon have put in numbers of hours iluring the last few weeks in securing subscriptions and vote) from your nu merous friends and they have the idea that you intend winning one of the Tribune's prizes; otherwise they would not have given their subscription to you, but would have given them to sonie ,.ne else who seemed more determined, so now it is up to you to make good the intentions displayed to them. You do not want to di-courage your friends by standing back now when the race is just begun, do you .' Should say not; but what you waul to do is this: Stick until the end and show them that you are no quitter. People do not like those who are "quitters" and give up simplv because someone in their district has a few more votes than they, but thev like to sec thou- who display the sticktoitivenoss to stay at all hazards and win out in the fa f defeat. No One Has the Advantage. At this stage id' the game, as the race has just begun, and a lady at the bot tom 'of the list can. during tlii. next week, secure enough votes to pass the lenders and lead a merry chase the rest of the way. providing she had the reso lution to buck uo the determination. perseverance and tact arc needed on a contest of this character, and to give up in despair because the first on- from whom you asked a subscription r. Ml that is required is a little nerve, en- erov and aggressiveness on the part of the contestant. Seventeen Prizes. To 17 ladies in the five districts, and each and every prize well worth t lie ef fort to strive for. Pick out the prize von no"! desire and then go after it with a determination that will brook of no defeat. Keep af ter it with n persistency that will land yon among the prizewinners at tin- final count. Thousands of Votes, still remain to be secured in this city and the surrounding territory. Th-re are any number of people who are simp lv waiting for some enterprising con testant to come along with nerve enough to request their votes, and the vrst one to ask for those votes will get them. A genlcnian came into the Tribune office and when nskcil who he was sup porting in the contest he made the re plv that he was going to assist the vest ladv who came along and nsked I. im for liis votes, lie went on to state that if a lady did not have energy enough to ask for subscriptions and votes she was not ib-serving of a prize, and that if by the .nd of the contest no one had asked him for his votes, well and good. lb- struck the mark when he said that "th" l.r.1 helped those Who helped t ll"lll ! I C, " There is v.-ry little change in the Standings of the candidates in this eve. liing"s issue. In District No. 2 Miss II, 1. n l oss ooo over the ;n.iiilii mark. Miss foss. if hard and conscientious work and numerous friends count for nevthing. will make it very iutereJting for some of Mie other eoetestan's in the race for these valuable prizes. Ill Distriet No. 4 Miss Lottie T.T-lor makes n phenomenal gain, having polled over 7'too votes yesterday. This gives jMiss Taylor the lead in her district, land she says that now that she has so- cured it she docs not intend to reliu j quisli it without a struggle. Howev er, Miss Taylor had better not rest on her 'oars at the present time, as there are several other candidates in the same dis trict that are also doing all in their power to gain the coveted position. Keep Up the Good Work. Those of the contestants who have a substantial vote to their credit now must keep up the good work in order to hold their position, now that they have secured it. If not, there will be some of the other candidates pass them, Xow that the double vote offer is on, however, it gives the former the same opportunity to maintain their lead, and it is up to them to do so. Keep up the work of securing votes and subscriptions and the ones who lead will- have no regret for so doing at the -nd of the contest. DISTRICT NO. 1.
