Ashland Tidings: Nine Ashland boys, all nider 18 years of age and all of nlgoly respect ed families by connections, were ap prehended by Polios Officers Thorn ton and Irwin, tba first of tbe week, on complaints sworn out before Judge tgnleatoo. charging them either with stealing or r;elvlu stolen property. District Attorney Kesmes waa summoned, evidence taken, and as a result, all tbe boys were plaoed under bonde by the looal magistrate, to appiai before County Judge Dunn, at Jacksonville, Satur day morning, who under the ieglala tlve enactments of the state provid ing for Juvenile court proceedings, is Judge of said court In tbis county, and who will dispose of the charges against the youths. The first arrest grew ont ot tbe theft of a bunoh of 23 admission tickets to the Star theatre, taken from the box office. The stolen tlokete were afterward presented fo admission to ine theatre whicn re sulted In the arrestjof one youth, who waa looked op over ulgbt in tbe olty jail and furnished information whlon led to eight other arrests and the clearing np of a number of thefts recently about town. In which one or another of the boys was Implicated. One ot these waa the stealing of a couple of revolvers from Case & Wick's window last February, another waa the stealing of mechan ical apparatne of tbe value of about 12o trom Wm. Myer'e gasoline engine pumping plant on Bear Creek near town, last month. Other and petty depredations about town have also occurred rsoently and tbe offlovrs tblnk that some of tbem are likely to be cleared up eoon and that tbe arrests made will result In stopping further operations In this line.
