After killing hit former landlady, Mrs. Annie Waclo wisk, Stephen Waclavlk has been pur sued for blocks by scores of foreigners and rescued when badly bruised In the conflict. FIRE THREATENS MINES. Forest Fires Destroy Thousands of Acres of Timber, Tombstone, Ariz., July 2. A fierce forest fire Is raging In the Huacbuca mountains, whfch la destroying many thousand acres of fine timber. The flre, which started In Ash canyon and Is spreading westward, Is threatening the property and buildings of several mining companies near, and bIbo the large plant and reservoir of the Hua chuca Wetter company, located In Miller canyon, and from which Tomb stone receives its water supply. A large force of men Is, Jit the scene fighting the flre, but they seem finable fostay Its progress! An urgent request has been wired the military commander at Fort Huachuch to send troops to check the flre if possible. The spread of the flre Is viewed with apprehension and every effort Is be ing made to stay Its progress. COLLEGIATE HARVEST HANDS New York, July 2.
