HEALTH is the Most Important In buying food-products, several things are to be thought of i. e., Economy, Results, Easy Handling, Reliability, but the most important is Health. Health means everything. In buying clothes, shoes, hats, furniture, etc., if the buyer is deceived and gets an imitation the only harm is loss of money. In buy ing food-products, if imitations are sup plied, there is not only a loss of money, but perhaps an injury to health which is beyond price. Remember these fads -when buying baking powder, ROYAL BAKING POWDER ABSOLUTELY PURE OUR COUNTY . Preaching next Sunday night by A. C. Howlett, at Eagle Point. Born to Mr. and Mrs. U. L Sheldon, in the Rogue river district, April 18, 1904, a son. James Ringer and Mr. Woodruff, of Big Butte, came out last week for supplies and seed grain. Mr. Abbott, who is in the employ of the Iowa Lumber Co , of Med ford, waB visiting home folks last Saturday, returning Sunday, Emanuel Pool and family came out last Friday, bringing Mr. Har ris, the foreman of the Michigan Lumber Co., for medical tr.-atment. Last Sunday, while little Willie Haselton was working with a har row, he dropped ii so that one of the teeth went through his brother Prank's hand, inflicting a very painful wound. Prof. Robert Jonas, who has been spending the summer in eastern OregDn, returned home last week. He and Robert Peachey have gone to the neighborhood of Mt. Pitt, to j look after Mr. Peachey's interests. A. Boardman came out last Saturday after seed oats, and re gained over Sunday at the Sunny Side, fie seems to tbink that stock in the Big Butte Eection will do extra well this year, as the feed is above an average. Thomas Hart, assistant foreman of the Fish Lake Ditch Co., was here last Sunday, and reports that If your blood is thin and im pure, you are miserable all the time. It is pure, rich blood that invigorates, strengthens, refreshes. You certainly know Sarsaparilla the medicine that brings good health to the home, the only medicine tested and tried for 60years. Ayer's they are now principally engaged in putting up the flumes on Yank' y creek, Antelope and Dry creeks. He and another man floated 5000 feet of lumber down the ditch last week, from the neighborhood of Lake creek, to where they are put ting in the flumes. Mr. Aiken, who was at Central Point a short time since, for the purpose of having his thumb treated bv Dr. Cole, which was con siderably injured by the running of a briar into it, Btopped over nieht at the Sunny Side on his return home. He is preparing a folder, giving a description of the route via Prosp ct to Crater lake, describ ing some of the beautiful scenery along the route, and the advantages of traveling it. On Monday morning of last week your correspondent was unexpect edly called on to go to Prospect, for the purpose i f bringing out Stan ford Aiken, son of 3. S. Aiken, who who had his leg broken by a kick from a horse; but on my arrival th re found the little boy resting quite easy. Dr Officer arrived in a short time and placed splints on the fracture, when it was decided not to move the patient. Found the roads in a very bad condition. Stock has done fine in that section this winter, and feed is good at this time of the year. Those living on the route are making great prepara tions for a rush over the road for Crater Lake and the Fort Klamath country. Prof. J. C. Barnard and Miss Clara Richardson closed their school at this place last Friday. The school children gave an enter tainment ere last Thursday night, mention ot wmcn was made m l he Mail last week. The different parts were performed by the pupils in fine style, showing that the teaohers understood their business, and had taken great pains in pre paring their pupils for the occasion. Prof. Barnard moved his family to their home in Central Point last Saturday, and on last Monday opened up school in the Betz dis trict, Miss Clara Richardson going to Klamath Falls last Friday to commence school in that neighbor hood on the 25th. Our board of directors very wisely elec.ed the same teachers for our school next fall and winter, and the result is, there is general rejoicing among the ohildren as well as the pat on".
