Drisko returned Saturday from a several weeks' visit with relatives and friends in Eastern states. Lucian Lowe, who has been engaged in mining in Northern California, visit' ed his Medford friends this week. S. F. Hathaway, of Central Point, one of the staunch supporters of Thk Mail, was a pleasant caller on Saturday. Ben A. Lowell, of Woodville, was in the city Saturday. Dr. James Braden, the Gold Hill mining operator, wa3 in Medford Fri day night on his way back from a trip to California. J.Owen, who hus been in charge of the S. P. Co.'s coal prospecting opera tions, left Friday morning last for San Francisco on a business trip. Mrs. George Burton, of Ashland, re turned to her home last Saturday after a few days' visit with Mr. and Mrs. Eance Rouso in this city. Jndge Hanna was down from Jack sonville on Tuesday, accompanying Mrs. Hanna, who took the noon train for Oakland, Calif., on a visit. J. B. Hunter returned to Medford last week from California. Mr. Hauler was in the employ of J. A. Perry in this city for several months last year. . Prof, J. A. Peoples is engaged this week at the Ray works at Tolo expert lng the books and getting them in proper running order.
