His girlfriend (Kate Walsh) tries to help him out of his bind. “Movie: Mary Queen of Scots” Best known for his chronicling of political intrigue in “House of Cards,” screenwriter Beau Willimon likewise traced the complicated 16th-century conflicts between Mary (Saoirse Ronan), Queen of Scots, and her cousin, Queen Elizabeth I (Margot Robbie) of England, in director Josie Rourke’s 2018 historical drama. Both lead actresses received praise for their performances. Guy Pearce, David Tennant and Joe Alwyn also star. UPGRADE “Movie: Words on Bathroom Walls” Charlie Plummer stars in this 2020 drama as a teen deemed to be schizophrenic when he hears voices and sees the image of a young woman (AnnaSophia Robb) that appears to no one else. As his mother and her boyfriend (Molly Parker, Walton Goggins) try to determine what to do, he allies with the class brain (Taylor Russell), which could turn out to be more.
