“Suits”
The ninth and final season of this 2011-
19 drama about attorneys at a New York
City law firm finds Robert Zane (Wendell
Pierce) disbarred, Faye Richardson (Denise
Crosby) sent to oversee the firm due to the
perception of dirty dealings and Louis Litt
and Sheila Sazs (Rick Hoffman, Rachael
Harris) tying the knot, among other
developments. Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel
Macht and Sarah Rafferty also star.
“Movie: Cold War”
Set in 1950s Poland, this 2018 drama
from writer/director Pawel Pawlikowski
(“My Summer of Love”) stars Tomasz Kot
(“Bikini Blue”) as a music director who
falls in love with a singer (Joanna Kulig)
and tries to persuade her to leave Poland
for France. Agata Kulesza, Cédric Kahn
and Jeanne Balibar are also in the cast.
“Movie: The Inevitable Defeat of
Mister & Pete”
Two inner-city boys (Skylan Brooks, Ethan
Dizon), the sons of prostitutes, must fend
for themselves for the summer when one’s
mother goes missing and the other’s is
arrested in this 2013 coming-of-age story
from director George Tillman Jr. (“The
Hate U Give,” “Notorious”). Adewale
Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin
Sparks Thomas, Anthony Mackie and
Jeffrey Wright are also in the talented cast.
“World’s Toughest Race:
Eco-Challenge Fiji”
Mark Burnett (“Survivor,” “The Voice”) is
the creative force behind his recreation of
the iconic wilderness race that originally ran
from 1995 to 2002. Here, the South Pacific
island nation of Fiji is the scene as 66 teams
from 30 countries trek across 671 kilometers
(about 417 miles) of mountains, rivers and
ocean, rooted on by host and adventurer
Bear Grylls (“Running Wild With Bear
Grylls”), who designed the course and also
serves as an executive producer.
