hours of rehearsal time, EOU’s
Chamber Choir will have per-
fected its song-and-dance perfor-
mance, “Opposites Attract,” for the
Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 shows.
The Friday show is at 7:30 p.m.
and Saturday’s performances are
at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., in McKenzie
Theatre on the campus of Eastern
Oregon University in La Grande.

student art exhibit
LA GRANDE — An exhibit
of works by the Eastern Oregon
University Art Club opens with a
6 p.m. reception Feb. 6 at hq, 112
Depot St., La Grande.
The exhibition, “Divergent,”
features student work in multiple
mediums and will run through
March 6.
According to a press release, this
collaborative event is intended to
help student artists gain public
exposure and experience in the
art world outside of the campus
environment.
“Additionally,” the release stated,
“community involvement is crucial
to supporting and encouraging
future artists.”
The reception is free and open
to the public, with a $3 suggested
donation accepted at the door with
proceeds benefi ting the EOU Art
Club.
“Divergent” will be available for
viewing at hq on weekdays from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m.
