INTRODUCTION:
La Grande School District is located in the Grande Ronde Valley of Eastern
Oregon. The district includes the communities of La Grande and Island
City and accounts for a combined population of approximately 14,000
residents. La Grande is the Union County seat, home to Eastern Oregon
University and serves as a regional education hub. The area has access
to a unique blend of cultural, athletic, recreational and entertainment
amenities.

steelhead and native trout. La Grande was one of the famous pioneer stops
on the historic Oregon Trail.
