The exhibit in- vited artists to use photographs taken at a regional farm- ers market as a springboard to create new works in fiber. Each artist selected one inspiring image, interpreting its colors, textures, and subject through the lens of their chosen medium. Viewers will have a chance to compare the two - getting a glimpse into the creative process - as the photograph and the finished piece will be displayed side-by-side. Co-op Gallery New Works by Damian Garcia January 31 - March 28, 2020 Free Admission New Works by Damian Garcia Damian Garcia is an emerging artist from Los Angeles, California who recently relocated back to his home state after studying art at Eastern Oregon University. His work focuses on layered images using ballpoint pen and acrylic paint on wood panels. He has exhibited his work in Alabama, California, Oregon, and Washington. Music & Dance Toddler Music & Movement (Age 3-5) February 4, 11, 18, 25 from 10:00 - 11:00 am In this kid + parent class, we will explore rhythm and beats through song, rhyme, and movement. Throughout the full 10-session course, toddlers will experience vari- ous rhythm instruments, including making their own drum and shaker. During the final 2 classes (March 3 & 10), we will translate what we’ve learned about rhythm and song to playing on authentic African drums. Contra dancing is an American folk original where you and your partner dance a repeating pattern to energetic music, interacting with the other dancers as you go.
