Comedy night, Halloween Party at Stubborn Mule Film Festival celebrates its 10th year JOSEPH — The Stubborn Mule, 104 S. Main St., Joseph, presents the Joker & Jester Comedy Tour on Oct. 25 from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. featuring Jake Daniels and Tony Dijamco, who will perform stand- up comedy and a magic show. Oct. 26, the Stubborn Mule’s Wicked Mary Halloween Party begins at 9 p.m., featuring “wicked drink specials and a wicked cos- tume contest with wicked prizes.” LA GRANDE — The Eastern Oregon Film Festival celebrates its 10th year with a number of new venues, including showings at Eastern Oregon University. Publication party planned for issue of Oregon East LA GRANDE — Since 1950, Oregon East has been committed to featuring student writers and artists. A publication party for the new issue will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in Pierce Library on the EOU campus in La Grande. Student artists published in the issue will share their pieces at the event. Oregon East is a student-led practicum designed to give them a platform to share their writing and art. “It gives them a boost of confi - dence, (knowing) that they are on the right track, that their work has value and that they are validated as artists,” said Lora Alix, Oregon East’s editor. The publication is free and open to all. Copies of the new issue are free for EOU students and $5 for the general public. Albany St., La Grande. All ages are welcome.
