Ken always had a posi- tive attitude and a smile for everyone. He was kind and generous. A me- morial service and dinner will begin at 11 a.m. May 18 at the Enterprise First Baptist Church. Known as Biden, he was born March 20, 1926, in Lewiston, Idaho, to James Harrison “Jidge” and Jes- sie L. (Wilson) Tippett. He on the USS Gallatin in the ✩✕✖ ✪✰✒ ✌❊✪✰ ✎❊ ✖✘❋ ✭✰✘✢✯✔✒✍ and was raised on the fam- ily ranch in the rugged can- yons on Joseph Creek in southwest Asotin County, Washington. Biden attended grade ✛✕✭✘✌✭ ◆✰✒✕✪✒✔ ✕✍✯ ✩✕✖ awarded many medals. Af- ter the war, Biden returned to work on the family ranch on Joseph Creek. On June 12, 1948, Biden married Betty Heasty in Enterprise. The newlyweds moved to the Jim Creek Ranch on the Snake River in Hells Canyon. Biden and Betty were married for 65 years. They had two chil- dren: Donna Kay and Ste- ven Tracy “Casey.” The Jim Creek Ranch was sold to the USFS in 1992. His son ran the ranch until 2014 when the Zumwalt land was sold. Biden said many times he was blessed to be able to live out his life doing what he loved. Ranching was his passion, and he was a good steward of his cattle and land. Honest and reliable, he came to be respected by his peers in the cattle industry and the local community. Biden was a member of the Wallowa County Stock ❖✔✎✩✒✔✖✏ P✢✗✖✏ ✑✎✔✪✰✩✒✖✪ Livestock Production Cred- it Association Board and Federal Land Bank Board. He was named the 1958 La- bor Days Feeder Chairman, 1962 Cattleman of the Year, 1973 Grassman of the Year, and 2019 Grand Marshall of Hells Canyon Mule Days. Biden and Betty had pur- chased a house on South River Street in Enterprise, where he lived until 2017 when he moved to Alpine House Assisted Living in Jo- seph. In 2018, Biden accept- ed Jesus Christ as his Lord. Surviving relatives in- clude his children and their spouses, Donna and Wayne Bronson and Casey and Kim Tippett; three grand- ✭✰✘✢✯✔✒✍✚ ✖✘❋ ✸✔✒✕✪★✸✔✕✍✯★ children and another on the way; and numerous neph- ews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; brothers, Bob, Jack and Doug Tippett; and sisters, Betty Fouste and Barbara Fredrick.
