Demand lightened sharply and modest offerings of ten were sufficient to bring de clines ranging to 2 points. Traders proceeded Cautiously pending clarification of reconversion plans and the Pacific war situation. Pan American Airways, most active'issue traded, accounted for about 15 percent of all business done on the market. There were a few other actives far under Pan American. These includd Pacific Tin. Elctric Power & Light and Columbia Gas. Otherwise the in dividual stocks had a very small turnover. CHICAGO LIVESTOCK CHICAGO, July 23 (UP) Live stock: Hogs: 4,000. Active, fully steady. Good and choice barrows and gilts 140 lbs. up 14.75 ceiling. Good and choice sows at 14.00. Complete clearance. ,.. Cattlei 14,000. Calves: 800. Good and choice best steers and year lings strong to 15t cents higher than late last week. Charred Bodies Of Two Fliers Found McCALL, Ida., July 23 (UP) The charred bodies of two On tario, Ore., men, Frank Van Pet ten and Charles P. Flegel, were brought into McCall late last night by pack train after a day long trek from the dense and rugged country northwest of here, where the wreckage of their air plane was found Friday night. The plane, which carried the two, was spotted by an elderly man known only as John Black of California, a volunteer search er who, with his two Gorman shepherd dogs, came here about two weeks ago and has spent con siderable time in the wilderness country since. Black notified Bill Yaggy and Lloyd Johnson of McCall who later flew over the area, which they had covered dozens of time previously, and Inter Johnson and Eldon Whilesitt parachuted into the country and assisted the pack train, headed by Lafe Cox,, irt bringing the remains'of the two fliers lo McCall. L. union strike that also threatened to stop all remaining operations. Sen. Harln J. Bushfield, R., S. D. said ha wondered "when we're going to get through with secret agreements" The purported secret agree ment was reported yesterday by Bei t Andrews, chief of the New York Herald Tribune's Washing ton bureau. He said it was de termined at the Yalta conference "in great detail" exactly how much reparations would be paid by Germany and what part ot it would go to each of the big three nations.
