However, according to records of the United Stales department of agriculture, they fell off 5 per cent from April of last year. To tal production for the year's first four months was 195.000,000 eggs. The rale of egg production during April was 18.54 eggs per hen. compared with 18.48 last year and 19 on the average. There were 2,983,000 hens and pullels of laying age on Oregon farms in April. This was six per cent below a year ago.
