1 MANILA (By Wireless)
We returned from our sea trip
in style.
Our cruiser dropped anchor
many miles from Miinila, but

when I took my first airplane
light in a Curtiss Jenny at
Erownstone, Ind., in 1918.
We got enough altitude so that
in case of trouble wnnc over
land we could glide to a water
landing, and then the three
planes flew formation a little
4oo tightly sometimes for my
nerves.

from military service men 'M years old or over will serve as a beon
to all major league baseball teams, particularly lire St. Louis
Browns, the Chicago Cubs and White Sox.
A United Press survey showed today that the oreler will affect
some Kill players in the major leagues, including ke'y men on most
