Atlaclde for To bo eligible for these prizes, club members must make a -survey of five sections of land on which they must locate all patches of any of the fol lowing perennial weeds: which might occur: white top, field morning glory, Canada thistle. Russian kanp weed, death weed (poverty weed) and toad flax. Aftor finding these, tlioy must be located . on maps which may be cecurcd from the office of' the county agent. They are also required to make mounts of each perennial weed which they find on the alloted land and with this mounting is to be In cluded a brief write-up on the vari ous crops on which the weed is lo cally troublesome, its growth habits, means of spread and methods of con trol. The awards will be made fol lowing the display of these projects at the arango Pair. H. H. Rampton, assistant county agent, reports that one club in the county has already started on Its project. The Wolf Creek Pig club of North Powder Is the first, to begin Its work and Rampton has spent one day with the members to help Identi fy the weds for their display.
