LONDON, June 25 P Argentina's
refusal to curb wheat exports or to
accept any scheme 'to decrease pro
duction today forced trn Indefinite
postponement of the regular session
of the international wheat commis
sion, scheduled to open here Wednes
day. "' '
Members said the life or the com
mission ItseU, which was organized
last August with the hope of boost
ing wheat prices ' throughout tha
world, was threatened.
' No formal announcement or the
postponement was made but It was
learned that all members of the com
mission were Informed privately that
negotiations between Argentina and
other memberd of the "big four,"
which. . began, early in May, thus far
have been fruitless.
Therefore, it was felt, nothing could
be gained by summoning the full
commission to meet.
The fear was held In some quarters
that the indefinite postponement
might be tantamount to signing the
death warrant of the commission.

Automobiles crossing railroad tracks
In ' front of oncoming 'trains, o:

cipal topic of discussion at a safety
meeting of the Union Pacific em
ployees Monday morning.
Not only was "beating the train'
condemned, but also was crossing
tracks in front of aiowly moving-am
and locomotives switching about' in
tlio yard. This practice, it was held,
is almost as dangerous as beating out
regular through trains at grade cros
sings, besides seriously hampering
train worfc in the yards.
The accepted standard of time
measurement is the period of the
