Every acre planted to sugar bods (and there are millions each year) re moves an acre of highly productive land from production of surplus crops. Every aero of sugar beets displaces an acre of grain or potatoes or alfalfa or some other crop whose price is depressed by 'overproduction. Every acre of sugar beets removes that acreage from competition with other crops in this territory. There can be no over prpduction of sugar beets because the American market can absorb four times the present produc tion.
