UNION LABEL OFFICIAL At LOCAL MEETING George Brewster, of Portland, union label representative, was a visitor In La Grande yesterduy and met with the Central Labor 'Council at the I. O. O. P. temple in the evening at a special session. Approximately 60 at tended. Brewster spoke lor about i on hour on matters of Interest to the union. He complimented this city greatly. stating that from a labor standpoint It was about the liveliest In Oregon. COUNTY COURT WINDS UP JUNE MEET THURSDAY After allowing the usual monthly bills, several Items of business, in cluding action on county warrants which are more than seven years old, the county court adjourned Its June term yesterday afternoon. These war rants will be advertised, and if not brought for payment after that, will bo declared, void. A petition for the granting of a new warrant to replace one which was lost, also was granted. FUNERAL TO BE HELD SUNDAY UNION SUNDAY SCHOOLS WILL MEET AT GROVE The group Union Sunday school meeting will be held all day Sunday at the Pleasant Grove grange hall two miles west of Summervllle, open ing with Sunday school' at 10:00 o'clock. There will be an address by Mrs. R. J. Geiger, of the Indian Creek school and a sprinkling of musical selections. The potluck lunch will be served at noon with coffee and Ice cream being furnished for the crowd. At 2:00 o'clock, the Sunday schools will participate In a program of musi cal selections, readings and plays and Rev. J. "George Walz, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of La Grande, will deliver an address. Funeral services! for Mrs. Jane Van Wormer will be held Sunday after noon at 3 o'clock at the Snodgr&ss and Zimmerman mortuary, It was an nounced today. Rev. J.
