To Chief Office by Rainbow Girls; Mothers-Daughters Banquet Held Miss Janet Bingner will bo head of the La Grand Assembly, Order of Rainbow for Girls, having been elect ed to tlie office of worthy advisor at the meeting of the order held Mon day evening. Miss Elisabeth Milne was elected associate worthy advisor, Miss Muriel Webb, sister of charity. Miss Jean Sturdevant, slater of hopo and Mius Mary "Frees, sister of faith. Other officers arc selective and wil: bo announced later. Mrs. E. A. Moc Eachran is mother advisor of tho as sembly. Miss Sylvia Turn, secretary, and Miss Helen Melville, treasurer, these offices holding over, while others are elected for a term of four months. Ins tall at ion will bo held at the next meeting. Preceding the regular meeting of the aeuembly, tho annual "Mothers and Daughters" banquet was held and It was a most enjoyable affair, ac cording to all reports. The dinner was served In tho dining room, the long tables accommodating the 53 guests. Decorations were quantities of garden flowers, the gift of Mrs. J. M. Bowery, whoso daughter, Miss Daphno Bowery, is outgoing worthy advi-jor. Of considerable Interest also was the prcsentaTion of the approaching atato assembly which Is to bo held June 26 and 37, at Albany. Ore. Tim names of Miss Dorothy Stewart and Miss Elizabeth Milne were presented as having been recommended to re ceive tho Grand Cross of Colors at the otate assembly. This honor is given to Miss Stewart for outstand ing work done In the local assembly In 1033 and to Miss Milno for having secured the most members during that year. Two La Grande girls hold grand offices this year, Miss Edna Brown being the grand associate wor thy advisor and Mlsa Elizabeth Milne, grand representative for tho state of Louisiana, Auxiliary to V.P.W. Is Instituted Here Last Evening The new ordor, Auxiliary to Mt. Emily Post No. 2900, Veterans of For eign Wars, was duly instituted Tues day evening by tho deputy president, Cecllie Hurdle, of Portland, who was In La Orande for tho event. She was assisted by the officers and drill team or Lot 'Er Buck auxiliary No. 022, of Pondloton.
