Glen V. Do well and Orene Doss, both of La Grande. Mr. Dowell Is employed by the high way commission, and Mr. and Mrs. Dowell will continue their residence In La Grande. Parents of both bride and groom, brothers and Bisters with their families were present to witness the service and wish the newly weds a happy life. Patou has 'launched slim, sinuous evening frocks slit in front to a point sometimes above the knee or slashed up the back of a pronged train. The gowns, designed of white, sapphire blue, almond green -and nasturtium orange crepe or satin are generally fashioned with high front and fairly low back decolletes which often widen to cover the shoulder, t'ome With Content Most of them are designed with a little coatee or cape which may be tossed easily over the shoulders "to keep women from shivering while they wait for their cars." Sometimes the coatees match; again, they con trast with the color of the frock. Daytime frocks put their slits above the waist, many of them being slash ed in the back or front of the bodice and faced with a contrasting color. It Includes the examination of all children who will enter school for the first time in the fall, recom mendation for correction of all re medial physical defects during the summer and a check-up in the fall to determine the condition of the children. As a result of this project, more children are entering school every year as free as possible from defects and protected against disease.
