Officers be lleved that the bandits as described by Beach and Knight answered the descriptions of Borrow, Bonnie Park or and either Henry Metvin or Ray mond Hamilton, escaped convicts from Huntavllle prison In Texas. RAGSDALE TO JOIN U. S. FLEET Ray Ragsdale. graduate of last year at the Eastern Oregon Normal school, and who has been spending a short leave among his friends and relatives In La Grande left yesterday for the east, planning to Join the fleet at Now York. He Is not sure as yet to what' boot he will be assigned but he was hoping it might be, the "Texas." For the most part these men are from Illinois and they have been working in other western camps dur ing the winter. The men will be employed for ap proximately a six months period. A request from a Kansas City fire comnany for a wheel chair for a paralyzed woman of their acquaint ance, published in a mornlmr news paper, brought offera of eight by 9 o'clock the same morning.
