Home rrom Willamette LaVon Kogor has returned to his home In the Frosty district from Salery where he has completed his first semester of work, at Willamette university. He will not be In school the second semester. LaVon took hi first year's work at the Eastern Ore gon Normal school where he was an outstanding student. Increases Ifci ml .Jaclt Fletcher, who lives in the orchard section above the Cove, pur chased 250 head of young ewes re cently and drove them from Imbler to his home. Mr. Fletcher has had a small band of sheep on his place ever since he moved to Cove until last year when he disposed of them. The sheep he now has were part of a band belonging to Robert Frencfc, Grande guests for the evening were Mrs. Silks, Mrs. Leona Berry, Miss Donna Felk and A. J. Feik. Mrs. Guy Lyons and son, Richard, of Glens Ferry, IIo., returned homo after having visited here with Mrs. Lyons' mother, Mrs. Clara Richards, and her si-iter, Mrs. Bessie Leak. Mrs. Ella Walte and her mother, Mrs. Martha Whiting, of La Orando, spent the week here with relatives, Tho ladles of the neighborhood en tertained at a shower honoring Mrs.' Paul Zaugg at the homo of Mrs. Fred Zaugg Thursday. The afternoon was spent visiting and working a number of contests. A two-couruo luncheon was enjoyed by those attending. MISSING BOY FOUND-IN L. A.
