The first purpose of the club Is to create better under- l standing of girls' athletics and to help promote better sportsmanship ' and citizenship In all school activi ties. The Girls' Letter club ta not an exclusive organization but Any girl who has earned a letter may be a member If she wishes, and tinder tao Oregon pome si-stem any girl who works can earn a letter. The active memoera of the club are those girls who have 160 point or more and only the active members are eligible to hold, offices and to act as leaders In the club. The other girls who have SO or 150 point letters are asso ciate members and assist in a club activities. Girls who hare earned the , large letter which is awarded for j0 points are entitled to wear an ath letic sweater but no stripes. When a girl has earned 200 points she is en titled to wear two stripes. 250 points three stripes, and 300 points four stripes. The president of the Girki' Letter club Is the first girl who will be entitled to wear four stripes. At present the active members of the club are: Nadlne Attebery. Betty Bohnenxamp. Opal Conner. La Wanda CantreU. Doris Duncan, Florence Do herty. Genevieve Plexer, Murlal Gray, Sophia Oletlhuber. Ola Uae Hough. Ruth Nelson and Ellen Torrance.
