In Mrs Wight1 -room Tuesday.
January .9, Qene Cummins, nnd Ncr

The sots were hooked to a hundred

They received returns from short'

were unabto ito reach .farther distant

wider and clearer receptions, .
Tho cost of making these radio sets
wa relatively! small. An approximate
ccut ot Uie sets, minus accessories was
about nl.50 each. .. Cue. to the fact
that'.iNorman. had,, access, to an old
battery .set. his cost was about half
tliakof Qene's. .
The greatest task In making these
sets, according to Gene. Is securing
the. materials; . It takes a considerable
length, .of time to assemble, ones rnni
terlat- because -of -the small number
of companies! tin the .United States
that handle the necessary equipment
for making such sets, that is, ma
terial at comparatively-;low .price.
Ports ouch as the colls can be made
at home, thus adding to the practical
experience of the maker of the set.'i
The Radio club which meets In the

organized foe the purpose of teaching

Mauy .other ..members of this club are
working on similar sets. Norman Is
going, to attempt making an electric
