Clever Program Marks November,, Meeting of the Young Women's Educational Auxiliary An exceptionally clever program given last evening at the November meeting of the Young Women's Edu cational auxiliary In their hall at the pint Methodist church was attended by about 100 members and prospec tive . members. The president, Mrs. Isle Adler, presided, over the business meeting. Miss Amanda Zabel was chairman of the program for the evening and also coached a well chosen cast In a walking rehearsal of one of the new plays "The Late Christopher Bean." The production was very enthusiasti cally received, each member of the cast carrying her particular part with great credit. The several roles were taken as follows: Dr. Kuggatt, Miss Mae Stearns. Mrs. Haggatt, Miss Nell Mahaffegr. Ada, the elder daughter, Miss Mil drat Pierce. Husle, the younger daughter. Miss Jean Williams. Abble, the maid. Miss Emogene Rus-eelli Warren Creamer, the young painter. Eileen Morelock. Maxwell Davenport, the art critic, Mrs. Olen Wagner. Mr. Tallent, the fraud, Sara Wil liamson . Mr. Rosen, dealer In works' of art, Mrs. R. L. ekeen. A one course lunch concluded the evening.' The committee for the evening con sisted of mias Amanda L. Zabel, chairman, Mrs. Julia Carey, Mrs. J. J. Broomfleld, Mabel E. Morton, Miss Russell, Miss Mahaffey, Miss More lock, Miss Williamson and Mrs. Bkeen. Home Guards Meet Tuesday Mrs. Erickson To Entertain Club M. I. L. Club Entertained Mrs. G rover Orlmmett entertained the M. I. L. club at a delightful party at her home Tuesday. Mrs. Lyle Kid' d!o was a guest. Mrs. O. R. Kerr received the priae for high score au bridge. Mrs. Ollbert Hunter will entertain In two weeks. Margaret Riggs Weds John Works Announcement has been received here of the marriage of Miss Margaret Riggs, daughter of Charles Riggs and sister of Mrs. Wesley McDonald, and John Works Sunday In San Francisco, Cal. They, will make their home there where he Is In business. Miss Riggs has many friends In this city, having lived here before moving to Portland whero she held a position. ,Mr. Works formerly lived In Portland. . ')',. Sixteen members of Herald-Home Guards met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Miss Mary Fredericks, 803 O avenue. Mrs. R. L. Skeen and Mrs. R. P. Tyler gave the lesson. Light refrcsliments were served following the meeting. Ladies of 433 Will Entertain Mrs, Colon R. Eberhard is chairman of the committee far the Lodien of 433 for a party at which they plan to entertain the men on Friday we-: ning, Nov. 24. plans for the event -were dLtcussed last night when the officers met at the Elks temple. Raymond Pinson . Weds Martha Jones Coming as a surprise to Pendleton friends, announcement of the mar riage of Miss Martha Josephine Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Jones of 8a J em, and Raymond J. Pinson, son of Mr, and Mrs. J. E. Pinson of Pendleton, was made at a reception at the Pinson home on Saturday eve ning. The marriage took place ' in Moscow, on Saturday, October 21, but! was not announced until last eve ning. The bride, who Is a charming girl, Is a graduate of Oregon State, col lege and is a member of the high school faculty. Mr. Pinson is a grad uate of the Pendleton High school and attended Eastern Oregon Normal Mr. and Mrs. Pinson will reside at the Colonl&l apartments. Mrs. Hoppel Is Hostess to Club Mrs. A. E. D. club entertained for their husbands at the home of Mrs. Laura Wlnburn re cently. Masquerade costumes were worn and Mrs. Agnes Wlnburn was awarded the prize. Mrs. Wlnburn and Jack McGhean also received the prizes In a spelling contest which was one of the amus ing features of the evening. Lunch was served after the games.
