Miss ' Fonda Banks became the bride of Elwood Hiatt at a Dimple wedding at 8 o'clock last evening at the home of her parenu, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Hanks. David I. Stoddard, stake president of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, performed the ceremony under an arch of lattice work entwined with lavendar dahlias, asters and sweet alyssum. Baskets of . matching flowers and tall tapers flanked the archway. ', Miss Hanks was lovely In a gown of white1 satin made In the princess style with a short train, and a short white veil. She carried a bouquet of ' cream colored roses. . Miss Judy Moore was the bride's only attend ant and wore a long gown of pale blue crepe. ' She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses, was given in marriage by her father. Jack Hiatt Jr., brother of the bride groom, was best man. Mrs. Bertha Horn, of Unon, aunt of Miss Hanks, cut the wedding cake which was decorated with ornaments which were used on the bride's cake at the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Hanks, parents of the bride. - Miss Dorothy Kirby, Miss Jean Whlto and Miss Agnes Palmer served. Miss Melba Hanks, sister of the bride, assisted about the rooms. . The couple left during the recep tion for a wedding trip to Portland and Seattle. For her traveling cos tume 'the bride wore brown with a coat trimmed In mink fur and match ing accessories. Miss Hanks Is the daughter of Mr. Miss Hanks and M' W' D- Hlnfa. They plan to make their home In the Allen apartments on Fourth street. No-Hostess Party Tomorrow Night Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Sine will ar range a no-hostess pinochle party for members of the Women of the Moose tomorrow evening at 7:30 o'clock at their home. Pinochle will be played during the evening. Edelle Martin And George Smart Wed Miss Edelle Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Martin, and- Oeorge Smart, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Smart, were married Wednesday night at a pretty ceremony at 8 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. J. Oeorge Wala performed the ceremony beneath a bower of autumn leaves. An autumnal moflt predomin ated throughout the room. Miss Martin was gowned In pale blue satin, tiptoe length, and a matching Jacket. She wore a small nat oi white net with a rim of rose buds. Pink roses and white carna. Out-of-town guests for the wedding non lormed her bride's bonquet. were Mrs. John E. Peterson, grand- ' ' mother of the bride; Mrs. Horn, her aunt; Lon Davis, all of Union; and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jacobs, of Elgin. Mrs. Jacobs Is Miss Hanks' aunt. Miss Mabel McNeil was maid of honor for Miss Martin, and wore a gown of black trimmed In white crystals. Blackle Graham acted as best man for Mr. Smart. A receptyin was hekk following the ceremony, and Miss Martin cut the bride's cake. A group of her friends served the cake. and coffee, Misses Ethel Donohue, Lillian Schubert, Ethel Smith, of Baker, and Mrs. J. O. Beddlngfleld. The young couple left on a wed ding trip after the ceremony. For her going away costume, Miss Mar tin wore a knit suit of gray and black and black hat and accessories, They will make their home hore after Nov. 1. , Episcopal Guild ' Plans Activities St. Peter's Episcopal guild met Wednesday afternoon and arrange ments were made for a bridge lunch eon next Wednesday and the month ly parish supper on Friday, Oot. 27. The bridge luncheon will begin at 1:45 o'clock. - Committees appointed include the supper committee, Mrs. O. B. Bray, Mrs. B. F. Wylde, Mrs. J. E. Reynolds, Mrs1 Davfcd Meldrum and Mrs. Oeorge Hill.
