PORTLAND ENDS LEAGUE SEASON IN SECOND PLACE By The Associated Press Six months of Pacific coast league baseball came to a quiet ' end yester day, with only the double trimming of the champion Los Angeles and the elevation of Portland to second place to enliven the final dayorthe 1933 season, A 9-2 vlotory over San Francisco enabled Los Angeles to finish the season six and one-half games ahead of Portland, despite its double Sun day beating by the Seals, 7-5 and 2-1. Los Angeles won the series, 4-3. Portland finished with a rush to win all three weekend games from Seattle, coming out ahead 3-2 Satur day and 15-4, 5-2 yesterday.
