One would have to Lave a child-like faith and an unques

al" cease the Hwirwnt the 3th amendinwit is repealed if,
of course, it actually is re;xsileL The dry law has given
aid and comfort to the racketeer, uuyuestio.tia.bJy; but it
didn't call liiui iuto existence, aud lie wvn'i vanish when it

What we must face is simply the fact that the underworld
has discovered, during the past dw years, that organized
society is often helpless before daring and ruthless criminals.
This is partly due to an antiquated and cumbej'sorae legal
system, wbich yiyes tiie ensmal much jnore than m even
break when he is charged with a crime. It is partly due
(o a disorganized, poliis-ridden police system which puts
every city under terrific handicaps in its fight on crime.
It us parUy due to the automobile, which has given the crim
inal a new mobility. It is paj-tly due to the traditional cor
ruption and inefficiency which pervade almost every large
city's government from top to bottom.
These are the points on which the congresviona committee
must give us a lot of detailed information.
THK CHANCK IS 0LKS
Upon jlhe events of the next ix raontiis, probably, will
depend M'e fate of our flight to escape f jvm tlie depression,
Wcan hapeur future to suit ourselves and if we are as
wise and brave as we like to believe, we can pave the way
for a iK'tlcr, freer life for everyone in America.

WEEK
(Friday, Aug. 4th to Aug. 11th)
Save From 20 to 50 Now!
rpiIATS exactly what we mean! These blankets w ere all bought
-1- prior to recent price advances bought when wool was seiiing
from 8c to 10c a pound instead of the present price of 21c to 25c
a pound.
These soaring wool prices have naturally caused blankets to ad
vance 20 per cent to 50 pec cent over what Falk's are selling them
for this- week. ' - 1 ,
Our advice to you is "Buy Blankets This Week"-n
A SMALL DEPOSIT WILL HOLD ANY BLANKET UNTIL CALLED FOR!
