INC to (READ THE STORY, THEN COLOR THE PICTURE) rpHE sklnnyscout birds seemed real strong, but when they tried to fly along, the lasso man cried, "No, you don't! You're coming right down here! My rope Is on . your legs to stay. I know you can not get away, so why waste all your strength? There's really not ; thing to fear. - "The Jads you Bee, all standing ' 'round and waiting for you, on the : (round, are friendly little fellows 1 and they'll treat you fine, I know. ' K "They like to travel here and there like you do, 'way. up In the : lr. Why," they might follow you ' wben I decide to let you go."' ...' i ND then the bunch heard Duncy : cry, "For goodness sakes, sir, we can't fly. How could we go up - In the air like birds that have wings do?" ' The lasso man Just smiled and P tald, "Well, son, I often use my . kead, and I have Just thought out a ' plan that's" bound to tickle you. "When once the birds are safe . Wei aouud, I'll let you Hold tlKtn '.4 J on the ground until, they get ac quainted. Then I'm sure they'll be all right. "They've never seen you lads be fore, so they don't know what Is in store. It doesn't take an awful lot to fill a bird with fright." rpHE Tlnymltes' soon held the birds and Scouty said a few kind words which made them qutet down a bit. The lasso man cried, "Great!
