Grande Red Cross Swim Week Will Open Next Thursday Red 'Cross Swim week, when every-; body, ayoung and -old, takes to 'the' water, some to learn the elementary rules and others the advanced principles of swimming, will open next Thursday at Cove natatorlum; under the direction of Miss Myrtle Hoyt and Miss Mildred Klopfenstem. Red Cross Swim week 18 an annual event When Instruction In swimmrng and life saving Is given for a nomi nal fee. Is one of the Important fea tures held under the auspices of the Red Cross, and Is responsible both directly and Indirectly for the saving of many lies from drowning and othor injuries receled where resuscitation-is necessary.. Swim week will continue for 10 evenings, exclusive of Saturday and Sunday, and the 10 swims will be furnished at a fee of $1.50, which also Includes the cost of Instruction, but students will have to furnish their own towels and bathing suits. Classes will be held beginning at 7 o'clock In the evening In beginning, Junior and senior life saving and swimming. The former instruction will be in the new rules furnished to the local Red Cross group by E. R. Carlson, representative of the na tional organization.
