Accident Two automobiles, a passenger car driven by J. L. Primm, of Frultdale, and a gas tank truck driven by P. W. Thompson Jr., of Portland, col lided at mile post 293 on th Old, Oregon Trail highway east of La I Grande on Armistice day, according to a report made to tho police. Both machines went off the road, and the passenger cor was damaged consid erably, the report said. W. L. In Wallowa county no results were changed and officials are as follows: A. B. Miller, sheriff; D. B. Reavls, clerk; Ella T. Clayton, treasurer; W. D. Ballard, assessor; Minnie McElroy, superintendent; Glen Jacob, survey or and Clarence Booth, coroner. The closest race was between J. O. Con ley and Minnie McElroy and the of ficial count showed 1308 for Conley and 1344 for McElroy, her majority being 36. The official count showed that pro hibition repeal carried by 41 votes, tho county vote being very evenly di vided. Another close one was the tax supervising bill which carried by 23 votes.
