AX HEROIC EXAMPLE i In recent months we have read a good many news stories which have a tendency to weaken our faith in hun nature. , There have been stories of brutal crimes, of dishonesty in high places, of ail kinds of human degredation almost enough to make one think that our race is a pretty shabby one. But, on ihe other hand, we have also read a good many stories which help to balance the scales and assure us that the upward struggle of humanity is not entirely hopeless after all. We have read about men who have remained true to their ideals in spite of economic stress, and about all manner pt worthy achievements and deeds of kindness and bravery.
