It Is a heavy responsibility and our mistakes cannot help but weigh upon us. Certainly most of us coma to the task of parenthood less wise, leas mature, less fit Jn every way than we should be. It Is a thing which cannot bo remedied, only modified by good will and Intelligent effort. We must all expect to make our percentage of mistakes. The sooner we recognize them the sooner we can counteract them. It Is well for every parent honest ly to criticize his behavior In the light of all that he knows and ail that he can possibly learn, but It docs no good to develop a morbid conscience. A parent who feels that he has not given his child a fair deal In the past and who tries In an un happy, emotional way to nake good the wrong he has done Is not apt to improve matters. Righting our errors requires an effort loving and conscientious but also controlled and intelligent.
