Liberty School ' Closes at Grange Hall on Friday o! this week. The annual picnic is being held today,. May 18, at the Cove. Bernlce Rayburn, the only eighth grade pupil In the school this year, took the state examina tion Thursday and Friday and five pupils, Dorothy Muilenbuift Alma DeLong, Erma-Oekeler, Delbert Grout and Kenneth Regain wrote op sev enth grade geography Friday. Three pupils, Mary Llndsey. Mildred Flesh man and George Fleshman received 100 per cent In their last six weeks spelling test. Mildred Fleshman, a fifth grade pupil, won the prize In tho poetry contest, having committed to memory 724 lines of poetry dur ing the year. Frank Johnson, a Blxth grader, won second place with 654 lines to his credit. The children are saving the articles they did In their Four-H club work this year to ex hibit at the grange fair this fall. They have finished their second proj ect for the year and are now ready to receive their second achievement certificate and club pins. They com pleted their first project some time ago and for that they received a cer tificate and pins. Friday afternoon Mrs. Kali, the teacher, took nine of tho pupils to Ladd canyon to at tend the art exhibit and program which the neighboring school put on.
