Egg receipts everywhere In the country are decreasing almost day by day but even at that supplies appear more than sufficient to take core of needs. Prices are steady to a trifle softer In spots. Local co-ops continue to maintain their quotations generally but some outsiders are reported, sell ing at whatever price buyers ore will ing to name. There is a merely steady tone iren- erally In the market for butter lo cally. Demand is taking care of most of the surplus but In spots an easier ieciing is apparent, nut terra t values; continue much out, of line. j Market for live chickens is reported as very slow along the wholesale way although there were no further orlce changes for tho day. The weakness appears most the result of too much Junk stock. Dragging tone Is reflected in the market for country killed lamb with quite liberal offerings. Most of the sales are being made at the lower price named. Hogs are just about steady at the late decline. Calves too. ' Opening of the Rose Festival brought out the usual Increase of strawberry offerings and the normal decrease In demand. Raspberries are now showing excellent quality and demand Is better. A few loganberries are arriving and are finding good sale. Demand In the cherry market is ex tremely light bath In a wholesale way and from canning interests. Royal Ann, Blngs and early cherries are quoted within a very low price spread with little call for the former at any price. Apple demand remains favorable with prices upheld. Market for honey Is almost Inactive at low prices. Watermelons ore down again with a fair movement. Cantaloupe call Is excellent with late advances maintained.
