Mrs. Henry Hess Hostess to Club Mrs: Henry Hess war a hostess of Thursday afternoon, entertaining the Jolly club at a one o'clock luncheon and an afternoon . of bridge. The luncheon table was decorated with a centerpiece of sweet peas. Prizes at bridge were received by Mrs. Lester, Stoddard; first, and Mrs. Kate Zweifcl, second. Walker. An Easter motif was car ried out in the bridge table appoint ments and decorations. Guests for four tables of bridge were present with Oscar Warnock and Mrs. John Larison receiving the prizes for high score, Mrs. Leal Rus sell; consolation. Mr. and Mrs, Mi L. Mrs. Milo Blokland Is Complimented Mrs. Milo Blokland, who is leaving soon for Portland, was surprised last night by about 35 friends at the home jot Mrs. aarrett uioiuana. The evening was spent in visiting I and Mrs. Blokland and her small daughter were honored at-a hand kerchief shower. Miss Betty Jean Blokland presented the gilts to the guests of honor. Miss Alta Llllle spoke on the geography and in dustrial development- of ;Ohlle, while Miss Florence Williams discussed the same phases of Argentina. . The Caribbean countries, Including Porto Rico and the Virgin Islands, will be the subject for discussion at tho next meeting of the group in two weeks. Miss Elleenor Vernon will be In charge, and the meeting place will be announced later.
