Among the interesting events for Friday are the Victory day program of the W. C. T. U. In honor of the passing of the prohibition amend ment, the meeting ox the Greenwood and Riverla parent teaqher associa tions, and the Citizenship meeting of the Ackerman Training -school asso ciation with Judge H. E. Brady as the principal speaker. ' Mitzi Club Meets With Mrs. Spaeth The home of Mrs. Fred Spaeth was fthe, scene of a delightful one o'clock luncheon when she entortained the Mltzl olub on Tuesday. Guests for tho afternoon were Mrs, I. M. Dolan end Mrs. H. G. Avery, both of Island d(ty. Bridge Was played following the luncheon with Mrs. Dolan winning the guest prize, and Mrs. George Walker, high for the members. Miss Williams In Mask And Buskin , UNIVERSITY OP OREGON, Eu gene, Jan. 15 (Special) Jean Williams, of a Grande, was initiated Into Mask and Buskin chapter of National Collegiate Players at the University of Oregon recently. . Miss Williams took a prominent fpart in the play "Holiday" that the drama department put on last term under the direction of Mrs. Ottilia Tumbull Scybolt, and has taken part in other productions. The drama department at the uni versity is large and as a center for student talent. , Many plays are put on ,eacn term, including one-act pro . auctions given at matinee perform ances each week which are both di rected and acted by students. The next play to be given will be Shake spaarc's "Twelfth Night." but the en tire cast has not yet been selected. I . The Sacajawea Inn Miss Katharine Wissler, soprano, gave one of her best presentations last night when she appeared- in a joint concert with Miss Dessle Tighe, violinist of Pendleton, who is well known in this pity. Miss Wissler, who Is 14 years old, is a pupil of Mrs. A.-L. Richardson. Miss Tighe is a masterful violinist, and displays a poise and bearing which enhance the excellence of her technique. . She was accompanied by Miss Harriet Washburn, of Pendle ton; and Miss Wissler was accompani ed by Mrs. Harley Richardson. The concert, which was presented at the Sacajawea Inn, drew a host of local musicians and music lovers who received the violinist and Miss Wis sler very enthusiastically. V4 teaspoon paprika. 1 egg white, beaten. 2 tablespoons butter. Mix the potatoes, yolk, salt, pap rika and butter. Beat 2 minutes. I Drop pprtions on buttered baking pans. Spread with egg white, and bnke 16 minutes in moderate oven, or (until molds are browned well. Care fully remove to serving .platter and garnish with small pieces of candled pineapple. . . ?
