Sept. 6. At that time plans will be made to put on the initiatory work at Mt. Fannie grange the last of the month. On Monday morning. Sept. 8, Mrs. Inez Jenkins will begin her fourth yertr as teacher of Liberty school. Mrs. Charles Spencsr and son, Joe. accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Huff and Mrs. A. E. Huff to Rob inette. They spent Monday with the Leo Winn family. Mr. and Mrs. Winn, former residents of this neighborhood, are residing on a fruit farm which they purchased a year ago. In the contest for the championship of the world this afternoon on the Detroit river. Half a million people were expected to witness tho first 30 mile heat for the Harmsworth trophy. Miss Marlon Barbara Carstalrs has two boats en tered for Great Britain to challenge Wood's supremacy in the field of un limited hydroplanes, the Estelle IV and the Estelle V. Wood will defend the trophy for the United States with Miss Americas V. VII and IX. If challcnttiiur and defendlus boats perform according to expectation, the record average speed oi 7o.a7 nines per hour for a 30 mile heat made by Wood last year will fall.
