Reviewing the fruit and vegetable situation, the Portland bureau of tho U. S. department of agriculture says: Tomato growers at The Dalles, who have supplied most of Portland's of ferings, are withholding shipments temporarily, to remedy yesterday's disastrous overaupply. Stocks are cleaning up well today, although at low -prices. Yakima 30 -lb. luge are moving very slowly at about 60c. . Peaches are moving In slower vol ume to Portland home-can ners, than many distributors anticipated. El bertas show very wide range In qual ity.
