C. L. Cadwell wound up his
strenuous stock show duties with a
trip to Portland on Saturday. He
returned Tuesday evening bringing
back with him his daughter. Betty,
who has, been attending high
school In Stanwood, Wash.
J. G. McConnoll came over from
Pendleton last Thursday and re
mained overnight with his daugh
ter, Mrs. George Wins-hip and fam
ily. He returned homo Friday tak
ing Mrs. McConnell who has been
visiting Tor sometime at the Win

to Pendleton Monday to return the

Bingham Springs to look after the
interests of the hatchery station
there in charge of Mr. and Mrs.
C'allie Green.
Claude Liu sick who has been
working in the Walla Walla terri
tory drove to Seattlo for his family
and they arrived in Union Tuesday
! evening. Mr. Buslck returned to
Walla Walla Wednesday to finish
his work there. Mrs. Busick and
children. Marian and Junior, wilt
spend the summer in Union at the
home of her father. A. B. Davis.
Cameron Cull i ha n, of Weiser,
was shaking hands with old friends

planned to go to Portland for a
couple of weeks and return later
with his wife who Is visiting friends
in Pendleton.

School election was held in Wal
lowa Monday afternoon and K. W.
McKenzie was elected to fill the
place of C. W. Mum ford, outgoing
director. Mr. Mum ford hud served
on the school board for nine years
and wished to retire. K. A. Searle
was elected to succeed himself as
school clerk. A largo crowd at
tended the meeting.
